Lesson Program & Dress Code

We offer Hunter/Jumper lessons for beginners through advanced riders. Lessons consist of weekly lessons learning horsemanship on and off the horse. To be enrolled in our program, students are required to take 4 lessons monthly (1 per week). However, students who wish to take more than one lesson a week may do so.

East Coast Equestrian approaches their lesson program with one goal in mind – to teach riders to develop the skills they need to succeed in the equestrian world with knowledge and respect for horses.

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced rider, our program is tailored to meet your needs. Lessons for all riders are offered with a wide range of horses and ponies that are ready to teach riders how to hone their skills in and out of the saddle. Our instructors have years of experience riding, showing and coaching.

Riding lessons are available Monday - Thursday. Each rider must master the skills of the previous levels before advancing to a higher level. If you struggle with any skills at a certain level, focus on those in order to advance, or take a private lesson to catch up. Riding at the appropriate level will help you and your peers advance further than just moving through the levels. Lessons at each level are currently working on the skills listed below.

DRESS CODE: Shirt that is fitted, riding pants, boots with a heel and ASTM-SEI approved riding helmet. This will help your instructor see your position better and help improve your riding skills
